National Library Week : Reading Promotion Week 3

We organized a reading race activity for Classes 1 and 2 with the aim of improving students’ reading fluency and confidence. The library celebrated National Library Week in the month of November with great enthusiasm to promote reading habits, creativity, and effective use of library resources among students. A series of engaging activities were organized for different classes throughout the week: 1. Reading Race Activity (Classes I & II) – A fun reading challenge was conducted to improve reading fluency and interest in books. 2. Bookmark Making Activity (Class III) – Students designed creative bookmarks to encourage regular reading habits. 3. Poster Making Competition (Class IV) – Students expressed the importance of books and libraries through colorful posters. 4. Usage of Dictionary Activity (Class V) – Students were trained to effectively use dictionaries to enhance vocabulary skills. 5. Wonder from Waste Activity (Class VI) – Creative items were made using waste materials to promote sustainability and creativity. 6. Quiz Competition (Class VII) – A quiz based on books, authors, and general knowledge was organized to enhance learning. 7. Fireless Cooking Competition (Class VIII) – Students prepared healthy dishes without fire, promoting life skills and teamwork. 8. Book Review Activity (Classes IX & X) – Students presented reviews of their favorite books, encouraging analytical reading and expression.
